I have owned a $8k Hobart slicer this is not that. I used this $70.00 slicer for roast beef and it performed admirably. Thickness gage is a little hinckley but still easy to dial-in. As long as you don't try to go too fast but let the tool do the work you get nice slices. Clean-up is very easy compared to any other slicer I have used. You wouldn't want to use it to slice meat to make 1 sandwich but cutting a larger batch is well worth the clean-up time. I like it and would recommend.
