I'm so glad I waited for the Tivo Roamio. It really improves my antenna only, no cable TV. (I use a Leaf antenna available from Amazon.) Improvements over the Premier include built in Wi-Fi which was very easy to setup. Once the Wi-Fi was connected, the Roamio updated the system software and downloaded the TV schedule for my zip code. I also watch a lot of Netflix and Hulu Plus, occasionally download movies from Amazon, and listen to Pandora. All are supported by the new Tivo Roamio, so I moved my Roku 3 to the bedroom. While the Tivo Roamio will allow you to access Amazon video on demand, it does not support Amazon Prime Instant Video which would have been nice, but isn't a big deal for me. Overall, setup was easy and took about 45 minutes, primarily due to downloading system updates and the TV schedule data. The Tivo Roamio requires a service subscription from Tivo, about $15 monthly. Tivo doesn't work without a subscription nor will it work without an Internet connection. If you use it with your cable TV, you will also need a cable card from your cable company. Delivery by Amazon Prime two day shipping was as advertised...no problems.
