Yes, I know - this is a *great* bowl to heat up cans of soup, make ramen noodles, reheat leftovers, etc. Hah! I found another use, and can't believe I didn't think of it before (I'm sure everyone out there is saying, well, duh, I've been doing that for ages! :-) Anyway...it's oatmeal!! My son likes when I make the instant kind with milk, but the milk would always boil over in the microwave. If I heated it in a saucepan it would be a royal pain to clean the pan afterwards. So, I put the instant oatmeal in the Sistema, added about 2/3 c milk, stirred, and let it sit for 2-3 minutes. Put on lid, popped in the microwave for about a minute, and voila! Perfect oatmeal, it *didn't* boil over, and I didn't have to wash a separate cup or pot (just remember to open steam vent) Easy breezy cleanup, too. Just for the heck of it I made it with *3* packages of oatmeal, a little more than 1 1/2 c milk, and it *still* didn't boil over. Made my mornings sooo much easier. Can't believe it took me this long to think of it! TL;DR Oatmeal w/milk - it works! :-)
