I have owned a GoPro in the past and was skeptical of what I would get. Well the first GoPro got lost somehow and I was left with a ton of accessories. I looked at prices for a new one and got sticker shock. Are you kidding me, the price for a simple GoPro camera is just ridiculous. I figured I would take a reasonable risk based upon the reviews and bought this kit. After playing with it for a few evenings I realized that "this dog hunts". Holy cow, it worked like a champ. I immediately dove in the pool and gave it the dunk test, not even a remote issue. Bonus, all my orphaned accessories from the GoPro worked with this as well. I had a chest strap and a mount on my boat, click, snap or screw, this camera was working like a champ. There are so many mounts that come with this Camera that I can't imagine using all of them. When I went white water rafting with the family, that was truly the acid test. Found the right clip mechanism and attached it right onto my helmet. With the two batteries included I was able to take pictures and videos of our entire adventure. Not that GoPro makes a bad product, it was perfectly fine. The performance of this camera was on par with what I had, so why spend the money? I am not into buying names, I want something my family and I can enjoy. This camera will get its use and the name brand can go to someone else with deeper pockets.
