We dont typically wear shoes in the house but I needed something to wear inside that was supportive to alleviate arch/ heel pain that was becoming unbearable. I have high arches and walk/jog several days a week. These have good support and are comfortable to wear . After a couple of days wearing these around the house I have significantly less pain especially first thing in the morning. These were pretty inexpensive for an orthopedic shoe and it was a good way for me to test if this type of support is what I should be looking for in other types of shoes without spending a ton of money. These do turn the soles of my feet black so I wouldn't wear them in public and have to wash my feet before putting on other shoes. Hopefully that will stop after some wear and a few washIngs. The thong straps are also a bit snug against the top of my foot. A common problem for someone with high arches but they are starting to stretch out. Otherwise they fit well. I have a wide forefoot and these are not too narrow. .
