My husband and I recently moved to Southern California from Minnesota, and I knew that there were two issues that I needed to get resolved right away - the incredibly hard water and the low water pressure. I have coarse hair, so we had a water softener back in Minnesota but there wasn't an option to install one at our new place in SoCal. This filter has been a godsend and my hair and skin is just as soft as it was when I was taking showers with a water softener. I also purchased the YOO.MEE handheld showerhead and the two together have been perfect for me. EDIT - I ended up having to buy a new full unit from a different brand because the replacement filters that came with this unit didn’t work like the original filter at all. For the price point I’m fine with having to do that every 5-6 months, but not sure what the point is of offering up replacement filters if they’re inferior to the ones included in the original unit.
