NEWFOUNDLAND DOG OWNERS, I bought this and have used it ONE whole time on our sweet, now fluffier Newf named Lila. My wife and I have tried every brush and comb known to mankind with dissatisfaction. I mean a little free time would be nice but when your fluff monsters need the kind of upkeep they do, brushing becomes something both you and your dog despise. NOT NO MO!!! Screw the fine bristle side, I haven’t even taken the cover off of that side because it will get you nowhere with a double coat dog. The little runty pug types can have that side and be very happy with their back scratch. But this de shedding had my dog literally jumping on me with excitement, or... yea, she’s fixed, so... just excitement. I knew we had found the grooming tool of the decade because we only spent 15 minutes doing a complete overhaul to pick up where the other grooming tools had failed, the excitement part from above, and we both didn’t come inside and lay in the corner to hold each other and cry after. Be gone hair, be gone. Not to mention, I’m really tired of all the hardwood sweeping messing with my golf swing during the winter so with my extra 45 minutes of free time... To the simulator for a quick 9 holes at Torrey Pines. Buy it, do it, do it.
