My girlfriend and I were big wine drinkers and loved good reds. But when we broke up (which was totally her fault, but I digress), I was left with really great wine that I couldn't possibly consume on my own. Not only has the Coravin saved me from tossing wine that I can't finish, it has allowed me to sneak a glass of that Barolo that I will likely keep stored for the next 15 years. Feel like a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon AND a glass of Pinot Noir on the same night? No problem. Coravin both bottles. A helpful hint - be sure the bottle/cork is not cold. Don't pull the bottle from storage and immediately Coravin - let it warm a bit or you might have some leaking from the cork. You'll find with each successive "pump" of the Coravin more wine will come out. Be patient and let it all drain into the glass before "pumping" again - it'll save you some argon gas. A really wonderful device. Definite game-changer for wine drinkers and restaurant wine programs.
