As a Macbook Pro owner, I've managed to try several USB-C dongles for travel. This one beats them all, because it has a port I need that most others don't: namely, a pop-up RJ-45 port for connecting a wired Ethernet cable. I do a lot of streaming projects and this almost always requires a fast wired connection. It also has three USB 3.0 ports (nice!), slots for regular SD and micro SD cards, HDMI video output, and a pass-through for charging. Basically, everything I might need from a larger docking station works just fine here. The popup RJ-45 jack is super-handy. It's fairly small, travels light, and brings all of the must-have ports for a USB-C Macbook Pro owner into one sleek package. There's a long enough connection cable (probably about 5-7") that you can position it carefully alongside your machine, depending on which ports are in use. Does the trick, and has become my most-used dongle.
