Turned on My Metabolism
I would say, "here it is in a nutshell" but instead I'll say, here it is in a cinnamon stick. Let's just say, I'm 52 going on 53 years old and I've had problems associated with stress and aging. Ever since a back surgery 2 years ago, I started putting on weight; noticing a general weight gain, bloatedness and puffiness. I started having frequent migraines and these weird "wind-blowing" sensations in my left ear. My BP went up too; not high but prehypertension. A visit to my doc showed high cholesterol which I'd always had but now getting worse. All other tests such as thyroid and blood sugar were normal. We went over my weights for the past 5 years and low and behold, I'd gone up almost 10lbs. No matter how hard I've tried to lose weight over a 7 month period, not a single pound or inch would come off with a low calorie balanced diet and exercise. My doctor suggested I might be mild metabolic syndrome because of surgery and job stress I went under for the past 2 years and recommended some vitamins he gives to his diabetic patients. Well, they did nothing for me and they were VERY expensive! By the way, I have spent enough to by a small scooter, trying to lose the extra weight and none of it worked EXCEPT the cinnamon (I'm getting to that so hold on!) Anyway, I started doing some research about insulin resistance and LO AND BEHOLD! I do think I discovered what was sabotaging my weight loss and creating all my nasty symptoms! Sugar! That's it! Insulin Resistance! It made sense too. My mom is a diabetic and types 1 and 2 run in our family. I started reading labels carefully and pairing my proteins and carbs at each meal and knocking out all the extra sugar I was consuming in processed foods and cut out cookies and crackers (my favorites). I replace my sugared deserts with fruit and cheese or an occasional low glycemic cookie treat. This seemed to help some but then....DISCOVERED THE CINNAMON and CHROMIUM!! What a difference! I haven't weighed myself yet because I gave up several months ago when I got frustrated not seeing the scale move. I will say this: my belly fat is gone and my pants are LOOSE! I'm sure I've lost some weight but still scared of the scale. My waist went from a 27 1/2 to a 25 1/2". Hips 37 1/2" to 36". How much weight loss, I don't know but cinnamon and chromium are helping to correct my imbalance and it is cheap! Haven't had a migraine since the 3 weeks I started taking it either. I was getting them twice a week and they were running my career. I had to go home early every time I got one. I am not tired anymore during my workouts. I do feel a lot better. When I do finally decide to weigh, I will post it. Oh yah...BP is down to 116/70 (from 130/88). My rings fit again and my eye puffiness is pretty much gone. If you have stubborn weight gain that you can't get rid of and your BP and cholesterol are going up, you might want to give this product a try along with exercise and cutting sugar from your diet. Remember, no pill is a magical weight loss remedy. You still have to do the work. I definitely see a difference after a few weeks by taking this where diet and exercise were not enough. Cinnamon and chromium are believed to act on the metabolism of glucose and the regulation of insulin so that calories from glucose do not get turned into fat so quickly. One warning: it is powdery and dry. If you have a tendency towards constipation, drink ALOT of water with it.
