I got this safe as a secondary means to store non-document items that wouldn't fit in my fireproof safe. With the current savings offered through Amazon, and the overall reviews rating, this safe was an obvious choice. The dual means to access the safe is a huge plus. Even if the batteries go dead or you forget the combination, they provide you with a backup battery pack to plug in below the keypad. Of course, there is an emergency key that will also allow access if you choose not to use the battery backup. The pre-drilled holes are perfect to ensure it's not easily taken, as the safe is quite light in comparison to the fireproof safe. I wouldn't suggest this safe for documents, as it provides no means of insulation against extreme heat. I feel this safe is a very worthwhile investment.
