lack of water proofing and side table popping off are easy enough to fix and I'll detail what all I ...
I just picked up one of these camp kitchens and I was impressed by some parts and already aware of other issues that have been brought up by other reviews. The well documented problems about the paper towel holder falling off, lantern poll not able to support anything, lack of water proofing and side table popping off are easy enough to fix and I'll detail what all I did to make it "better". First of all, I got a spray can of polyurethane and coated the top and bottom of both the lid and table. I made sure to really get in the crack where the table top meets the aluminum to make sure that moisture wouldn't penetrate and delaminate the table. Next I carefully bent the two supports outward where the stove top meets the prep table. This made it so that the stove support would stay attached. I also did this to the trash can/produce holder. Finally I bought a couple small velcro loops and attached them to the side of the lid next to the spice racks so that I could tie around the middle section of the lantern support. I did one up high and another one about mid height. I held it in place with a small fender washer and machine bolt with locking nut. It's very clean and looks like it was factory done. This makes the lantern holder strong enough for a Coleman Norhtstar or whatever other type of lantern you want to hang on it. After that, I positioned the paper towel holder so that the "Coleman" logo was right side up in the vertical position of the sink area and super glued the suction cups in place. I removed the paper towel holder from the suction cups while it was drying so the weight would not cause it to move or fall off. After everything set, I slipped the paper towel holder back on and it neatly folds away and doesn't fall off. Finally, I super glued the black rubber feet onto the wire rack table that goes under the prep table so that they would not pop off and get lost. I have an extra roll up table top from a camp table that is just the right size to put on the stove support side that gives it more rigidity and better support without the chance of the stove slipping off. I didn't have the problem with the propane bottle hanging off since I use a propane tree attached to a bulk tank, so that really isn't an issue. I've been pretty happy
