iSpring 6 Stage Reverse Osmosis System The water in my area of North Chicagoland was not too bad but I want to remove all chlorine and fluoride as well as all the particles. I recently bought a house and have a 2yr old daughter. So this was an investment in health on many levels. Thus the reason to go with the 6 stage alkaline setup. We had been using PUR faucet filters and I was tired of paying $15 every six weeks for what I am sure is not nearly as clean as an RO system. So I read the reviews here and checked out their website. I also decided to get their whole house system as well. This way we can clean up all the water for the two bathrooms as well as the dishwasher, clothes washer and the showers. It shipped very quickly and it was double boxed. The construction quality of the system was good. The RO System took just over an hour to install. I already had a hole in the sink counter so the faucet install was very quick. I found the color coded hoses to be very helpful. I got it installed without having to watch the videos and after one quick fix for the last several months have had zero leaks. One tip during installation is to make sure the lines are cut with clean, flat facing ends. If its a bit off angle then it could develop a leak. All the parts fit my existing pipes without having to buy anything extra. After running the system for a while I did a PPM test and it came out at 10-15. That was impressive. Prior to the filters being installed it was at 150 PPM. The taste is very clear as is the clarity. I ran a quick water test and the chlorine came out at zero and the PH came out at around 6.5. This is a great number. Ideally, the pH of your water should be somewhere between 6 and 8. I am very happy with the filter and would definitely recommend it.
