Most underrated product I've ever bought on Amazon
This is the most underrated product on Amazon I've bought! It was a 3.6 when I wrote this, whereas it's a life-saver for someone with an old house with no screens who wants to ventilate once in awhile. 5 stars, easily, for me. So I have to correct this injustice lol.
I was afraid of window controls getting in the way, but they were easy to work around (see above). Someone more skilled could probably make it look cleaner. The magnets hold very firmly.
I was tentative for the first window, but it's actually very easy. It's actually very hard to mess up -- there's a lot of room for error and there is no need to measure first or anything. Since there were no instructions, here's what I did:
Tools: scissors or dremel for the plastic and the magnets, knife (for trimming the screen at the end)
1. stick the magnets with the 3M tape onto the frame.
2. Make the above neat, in case you ever want to take off the screens. Ie, put the magnets at the very edge, and make sure the corners where are neat.
2. Size the plastic strips and corners to the above magnetic strips. There is room for error here, since if you cut it too short the corners pieces hide the gap.
3. Spread / stretch the screen on the ground and lay the frame onto the screen.
4. Clip the magnetic pieces onto the frame to hold the screen.
4. Trim the screen.
