Initially when I received this lunch box in the mail, I will admit that I was a bit disappointed.  My disappointment stemed primarily from the fact that the box itself is so small.  Considering that I had purchased it for my hundred 185 lb construction worker husband, I immediately doubted its utility in our home. The lunch box itself is adorable I will admit, with it's bamboo finish,  it's little plastic compartments, sauce container and food divider.  Overall it's super trendy and if you want to wear cool at lunch time this is the lunch box for you.   But I had to ask myself, who else is this lunch box for?  Because it was quite apparent it was not for my husband it just wasn't big enough to hold the amount of food he would need to eat during the day. That's when I went back to the product itself, reread the part description and the reviews. From this I learned two important things: 1.  I did not read the product description which clearly states, right there in its spec's,  the exact size of the product, in height, diameter and width. 2.  Everybody else seemed to love it. I specifically home in on one woman's review in particular who explained that since joining weight watchers, it was the perfect size in which to accommodate her smaller portions of different foods. This got me thinking that perhaps it wasn't the wrong one lunch box, but the wrong recipient of the lunch box. My thoughts and quickly went to my sister Lynn, who in the past year underwent gastric bypass surgery for a weight problem but she has had her entire life.  I remember her explaining to me before the surgery that she was going to have to eat much smaller portions. In addition she was going to have to choose different types of food based on her dietary needs I can sit at a specific amount of protein specific amount of vegetables etc. In other words for key here was going to be very, very controlled portions. Since her surgery she has infact lost a significant amount of weight and she's doing fantastic.  Even her diabetesbis gone.  She's I said but now  she's living the best life that she has ever lived, and she turned 60 this year! she did however share with me that she was beginning to once again struggle with portion control. So suddenly the light bulb went on and I realized that Lynn would absolutely love this lunch box.  Additionally I I thought that this lunch box was going to be a very useful tool in her weight loss journey.  So I packaged it back up, sent it's final 3000 mile chip back to Massachusetts where I'm from, to its new forever home. And yes, my sister had absolutely loves this lunch box. She said so far it's been very durable and she put's in the dishwasher every once in awhile and even occasionally the microwave at her job at Boston scientific. Additionally she has told me she will always keep this particular brand of lunch box in her home because she is now believer. Turns out it's the perfect size for her  portion-controlled meals with I believe at least four sections, a little covered sauce container, plus the silverware witch fits inside the container and then a rubber band that binds it all together so you can carry it around.   she just loves it!  She says everybody networks jealous of her and are constantly asking her where she got it.  And yes she feel super trendy and cool carrying it around. Additionally her doctor has begun recommending it to his patients before their surgery and even the ones that he sees on an ongoing basis after surgery.  Perhaps the company could make my sister an affiliate???  she seems to be selling people all over the place on its greatness! Ultimately after finding this little lunch box it's forever home with my sister, I realized my initial gut reaction was correct. It's not necessarily the wrong lunch box but the wrong receiver.  Because for the people that something like this is perfect for, they will absolutely go crazy and positively swear by it. Since she is the rightful owner of The lunchbox, I asked her to give it a star rating and she promply said "absolutely five stars!!". So that's the rating I'm giving it.
