We have a 17 1/2 yr old cat who is 24 lbs & have the 3 largest litter boxes on the market (we've even tried making our own), so I wasn't sure this one was going to work either, but IT DOES. He just used it & not only did he make it INSIDE the box but he also didn't step in urine on his way out of the box. I'm about to do the happy dance because I'm so excited. We've been using the PetFusion BetterBox for about a year now but as his arthritis has gotten worse & he's getting weaker from kidney failure, he could only go in & out from the front & was stepping in wet urine everytime & leaving litter pawprints all over my floors. We actually have the litter box sitting inside of a washing machine pan (with puppy pads on top for easy clean up) to help protect our wood floors (pic included)
