I created this video to show you the pieces of this vacuum cleaner and demonstrate how it performs on rugs and bare floors. I have several cats who shed hair and scatter litter all over, and this vacuum does a great job cleaning up my home. I plug it into an outlet in the front room, and I can vacuum my entire apartment because the power cord is fifty feet long. Bottom line: A great vacuum cleaner for bare floors or short pile carpets. The head of the vacuum has no beater brush or power, so it won't work well with thick or high pile carpets. It's much quieter than my upright. Great for janitorial services or homes with lots of bare floor. Sadly, Hoover really got lazy when they designed the part that attaches the wand to the canister.
