I bought a total of eight of these bulbs to replace a bank of sixty watt incandescent lights over our bathroom mirror. My wife had been complaining, persistently if not mightily, that the lighting there was inadequate and not representative of natural light. This, she said, could lead to the "misapplication" of makeup which appears one way under artificial light and then another under sunlight. Well, good grief, we couldn't have that! These bulbs produce great amounts of evenly distributed light for their miniscule wattage which is very much closer to daylight in appearance; the light is very usable. Add to that the projected longevity of these bulbs and the deal is a no-brainer. The queen of my days and goddess of my dreams had, ever so elegantly, glided into the powder room after the changes were made and pronounced it a great improvement. Problem solved!! ...or so one might think. Later that same day she came out of the bathroom with her lower lip somewhat extended and her impeccable posture subtly degraded by an ever so slightly lowered head. Well, of course, I fell all over myself rushing to ask her troubles. With quivering lip and wavering voice she explained that under the new light she can see a lot more gray hair! ...not sure what I'm going to do about that just yet. Unintended consequences notwithstanding, the lights are just great.
