Good Shampoo For The Pups
We've used this for a few years, and it works well as a sensitive skin shampoo. Our Boston tends to get dry skin in the winter (we've told him to drink more water, but no luck on the diet front), and this shampoo has done well to keep his skin relatively hydrated. We don't bathe him often (once every 2-3 weeks, maybe monthly in the winter), but this helps when we do use it. No controversial ingredients (essential oils and such), even though EO's for dogs are mostly OK with occasional exposures (not a vet, but relaying what our vet told us after we asked). Why am I going to try to find another shampoo? The scent. It's a less astringent scent of cherry cough syrup, if that makes sense. It's not a bad scent, per se, but my wife and I don't really care for it much. Our dogs don't seem to mind, so that's something I guess. But along with that, the scent doesn't have much staying power. That's good...and bad. Ideally I'd like my dog to carry the bathed scent for a couple days. This scent is basically non-existent after 10 hours or so. In contrast, we occasionally use Johnson's Baby Shampoo based on a pro groomer's tip for a cheaper option (don't @ me). That scent will stick with our dogs for 24-48 hours. That's some good performance and what I'd like to see in a dog shampoo. In summary, this is a good product. The cherry scent may be a love/hate situation, but my main beef is that the scent doesn't last long after the bath.
