Magnificent! Given its target audience of children in America during the 1960's, the original Jonny Quest show which ran for 26 episodes is the most perfectly realized program in the history of television. The series premiered at 7:30 p.m. on Friday nights given to its exceptional quality. Johnny Quest was too sophisticated to relegate to Saturday mornings, at least during its initial run, and the makers must have recognized at the time that adults would also find it thoroughly entertaining. The blu ray set which is now completely uncut is a dream come true, and absolutely beautiful to watch. The set comes with a warning that it is intended for the adult collector because it may not be appropriate for children. Hogwash. Today's world is one in which extreme opinions garner all the attention, while the few sane people left warrant no attention at all. I understand Warner Brothers providing the warning, but isn't it so sad that they felt compelled to do so?
