Every night we make a variety of hot dishes and I am constantly looking for trivets. Its not annoying or hard to set them out and place the dishes on them, but sometimes I don't have enough. I saw this and almost passed on buying it but I liked the design, I liked what other people had said in the reviews so I figured I would get it and check it out. It is so handy! People don't even notice that it's not a runner. I am really happy with this purchase. I wish it was a little bit longer but now I just place this on my table, place all the hot and cold items on it and it looks nice and is really convenient! I would gift this item to friends, family, bridal shower gift and/or home warming gift... it's a functional gift that can be used indoor and outdoor.
