I wanted a starter kit to improve the lighting for my video blogs, and I'm very happy with this set. In the video, I show how easy it is to set it up, which was a big deal for me because I don't have a permanent studio and need to set it up and take it down frequently. Other softboxes can be a real pain to set up, but this softbox is basically one piece, so it's much easier to assemble. The quality of the materials is perfect for home use -- the light stands are sturdy, the softbox material is thick, and the color of the bulbs is great (I used one of the bulbs to light the video). I wouldn't say it's professional grade, though, so it won't take the abuse a wedding photographer would give it, etc. The only things that would make this set better for me would be dimmable lights and a carrying case. Overall, I'm very happy with the kit!
