As a fan of the Victorian time period and Queen Victoria herself, I have been anxiously awaiting this show. It being a part of the bbc/pbs legacy, I was expecting a lot. This series does not disappoint, I am happy to say. Historically accurate with a touch of extra drama thrown in. Jenna Coleman, playing the young queen, is perfect in her role. Rufus Sewell is wonderfully perfect as Lord M, who, from the Queens's letters, she grew to have strong feelings for. The woman writing this show knows her history and how to tell a great story. This is sure to be the next best show since Downton Abbey ended. Highly recommended.
