Looks good. Works well. BUT SEE WARNING...
It works. It looks good.
Worked great for getting the nasty grunge out of the nose pads on my eyeglasses. We haven't used it on my wife's jewelry much because of the various recommendations out there about putting gemstones (and synthetic ones) into an ultrasonic cleaner. Don't know details. So I am pretty happy so far (a couple weeks).
BUT DANGER DANGER DANGER: One of my pairs of eyeglasses has a dark blue paint coating on the metal front piece. The glasses are 3 years old and had a couple of small, but obvious paint chips from wear and tear. After use in the ultrasonic cleaner a few times, there are *many* more places where the paint is gone. Took a while for me to realize it, but now it's pretty obvious. Apparently there were a lot of very small rough spots in the paint after 3 years and the ultrasonics "cleaned them" off the glasses entirely. Which is what you want when the imperfections are dirt and grunge. But I couldn't see these imperfections and I got surprised. My unpainted metal frames had no problems.
Anyway -- it's proof that the cleaner works. Really well. So watch out.
I'm still glad we got the cleaner. I guess I should have read more about ultrasonic cleaners before putting those glasses in. The nose pads certainly look nice. See photo.
