READ THE DIRECTIONS!
Many people are commenting on the issues they had with this item.....here is what i did......read the instruction book.
some people complained about stripping screws during assembly....directions say use a SCREWDRIVER so I did and the screws went in with little resistance and I assured I put them in straight.
Some people complained about chipping and the blade not cutting through....Directions say the blade may need to be adjusted BEFORE use AND after several hundred cuts....well hot damn when I received my unit my blade was high on one side, I used the SUPPLIED HeX WRENCH and adjusted the blade accordingly...wow so easy
Some people said the angle adjustment was not accurate and moved on them.....well hot damn ANYTIME your dealing with a mass produced tool and dealing with angles they may need calibration i simply put my t square against the blade with the 45 degree angle against the adjustment fence, and yes it was off about an 8th inch....i used 2 small pcs of painters tap to mark the angle (wow how hard is that?) and yes the screw to tighten was too lose for my liking....1 single drop of loctite solved that issue...a piece of thin tape along 1 side of the screw could do the same or bread crumbs if your not wealthy.
Finally the complaint of the fence moving.....hmmmmm try not hitting it with your flooring so hard...I laid 400 sq ft of flooring GENTLY feeding the flooring in and did ALL my 45 degree cuts without any adjusting. GUESS SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST HARD ON PRECISION TOOLS and they wonder why they are not professionals.
EVERYTHING I talked about here is COMMON SENSE.....I never did this before and yet I thought of all these remedies all on my own. guess I am smart like that and can read like a good ole redneck instead of just saying this is simple like those simpletons.
