I originally bought this skirt because I was traveling to a country with sometimes strict modesty requirements for women and I wanted a maxi-skirt I could keep rolled up in my bag to pull on over my pants if I needed to. It stayed rolled up in my bag for over two weeks without wrinkling and still looked nice. I did not have the problem some reviewers noted with it stretching out and slipping down, but I have a curvy figure so this might be less of a concern for me. It also withstood being hand washed/wrung out in the sink and hung over the back of a chair to dry and still looked great. The material is smooth and very comfortable. I've also machine washed it since and the hems/seams are still flat (not doing that bunching/rolling thing some cheaper garments do or twisting off the bias). Really a good quality for the price. The fold-over waist gives a lot of flexibility for length and more/less midriff coverage. I usually wear a US 10/12 and bought the large. I'm pretty short so I can fold the waist band in half to have it sit at my natural waist and the hem comes to my ankle (29 inch inseam). Someone with less booty would probably find it to be longer. I did buy two more when I got home and it seems like the solid colors are more likely to wrinkle than the prints. The material may be slightly different or the prints may just show the wrinkles less.
