My son is in love with the “balloon guy” we pass several times a week on our way to my daughters school. When I saw this I knew he had to have it so I preordered and waited. Firstly, I believe many of the problems people are having with power is due to the fact that they are probably not using the correct adaptor. Not all adaptors have the same output/voltage and when I tried one that was lower than what is recommended I experienced what others have said here. Basically little to no movement, flopped over, etc. Once I put a brand new 9v battery in the guy came to life just like the real deal. So please check the paperwork included and compare it to the label on your adaptor before using it; just because it fits doesn’t mean it’s correct. The booklet was also a fun read - I enjoyed learning about where this guy came from and how he gained in popularity. Needless to say my son is ecstatic...currently he’s sleeping with his “balloon guy” right next him.
