Amazing stuff
I was very skeptical about curcumin when my neighbor first told me about it, so I did A LOT of research before I decided to try it. It's amazing what this stuff can do. - As an anti-inflammtory, studies show curcumin to be just as effective as aspirin, ibuprofen, sulindac, phenylbutazone, naproxen, indomethacin, diclofenac, dexamethasone, celecoxib, and tamoxifen. This helps with heart disease, arthritis, and many other inflammation-related diseases. - As an anti-proliferative agent, curcumin compared favorably with oxaliplatin, a chemotherpy drug used against tumor cells. Studies have shown that curcumin can reduce the growth of new blood vessels in tumors, prevent the spread of cancer, as well as contribute to the death of cancerous cells. - As a diabetes treatment, curcumin was found to be more potent than metformin for increasing glucose uptake and production in the liver. - As an anti-depressant, curcumin is considered just as effective a prozac in alleviating the symptoms of depression. - As an antioxidant, curcumin was found to be a potent alternative to help support cells against excessive oxidation and free radicals that cause premature aging and many other diseases. - As a preventative for mental degeneration, curcumin has been shown to increase brain levels of BDNF, a hormone that decreases with age leading to dementia and Alzheimer’s disease The Divine Bounty brand is one of very few supplements that actually contain what they use in all the studies - concentrated curcumin and piperine. It's the highest quality supplement I could find at a reasonable price.
