WARNING: Okay so this review will obviously be TMI big time, as is the item itself!! :) I had a Moon Cup before I bought the Yuuki (both bigger sizes, as I had given birth before). Originally I bought the Moon Cup because not having to constantly buy tampons sounded like an awesome idea! I'm not per se the "save the whales" type of person, but definitely a "save my vagina" kind of person. Paper products, both tampons and pads, seem to irritate my lady parts a lot. Plus I hate that tampons just dry out my "insides." (You know what I'm talking about!) Anyway - so I bought the Moon Cup a few months back and tried using it. However combined with my lack of experience and how hard the cup was (and the fact that I did no realize that cutting the stem off completely would make it MUCH better), I did not have a good time and went back to tampons and pads :(( Then I came across some awesome YouTube videos (I highly recommend looking up videos by "Precious Stars Pads" - she has reviewed every kind of cup you can find!) Based on her review I bought this Yuuki cup, because I learned that it also had a larger capacity and I wanted a cup to last me overnight. Plus I wanted to give this whole "green vagina project" another go ;) Yuuki cup exceeded my expectations. From the pretty look (its see-through! and when you wash it it does not get clouded, so kind of looks cleaner than the Moon Cup). It also seems that the walls of Yuuki are thinner than Moon Cup's but the rim is just as sturdy and grips onto my "insides" so its very secure. What I love about Yuuki, as well as the Moon Cup is the fact that it pops open and you KNOW it pops because you feel it. It does not hurt. But I like knowing that it popped, so I know there will be no leaks. Anyways - I just got my Yuuki cup a few weeks ago and my last period was COMPLETELY paper-product-free and I'm very happy about it! I have not had any leaks, and it was able to handle my super heavy days (and they are HEAVY) and lasted overnight! On my super heavy day I had to empty it out about every 2-3 hours. After that, I could easily have a good 9-hour sleep (he he) without worrying about emptying it out until the morning. I will definitely be buying more as needed, or even an extra one just as back up! Oh and also I recommend cutting the whole bottom stem off, as the grips on the bottom of the cup are very good and I have no problem taking it out without having to pull the stem. The stems of both Moon and Yuuki, if un-cut, make this whole experience very uncomfortable and pokey :( Another useful tip for any of you considering switching but worried about changing it out in the public bathroom: I found that the little green container Yuuki cup with comes in very handy and its very stealth-y. I keep both my Yuuki and Moon Cup in there, and the Moon Cup is my backup, in case I'm unable to completely clean it out in a public bathroom. I just take out and use the clean Moon Cup and wrap the used one in toilet paper and stick it in the green container to clean out later (obviously dump all the blood out!). Having two cups definitely gives me a peace of mind about public bathrooms! So I would recommend buying 2 :) Phew - I hope this review helps and I hope it makes sense. I definitely think this is the best cup on Amazon. ( Another cup that is similar is the JuJu cup, but I could not find it on Amazon, its sold from Australia and its also more expensive than this one... I'm considering buying JuJu too, just to compare)
