I bought a set of six two years ago, and use them every evening to wash my face, whether I'm wearing makeup or not. Previously, I used cotton terry facial cloths, but they were kind of brutal on my skin. These can be, too, if they're dry or you scrub your face hard. But if you're treating your skin gently, you can't go wrong. They feel soft. They're very absorbent. They flat out work. Your skin is clean, makeup gone. Makeup will stain these cloths, but that doesn't affect the function. As long as you play by the rules and don't use fabric softener or bleach, you can wash and simply hang them to dry. Honestly, this was an impulse purchase at the time that turned into "How did I live without this?" Performance far exceeded my expectations, and I give these cloths the rare and coveted HB stamp of approval.
