This is NOT a toy, though it would also make a great gift for an industrious youngster (the bright color options can be misleading); it's actually a very practical solution for using a mini-laptop on-the-go or eating while seated without a table. The fold-down sides fit snugly over the knees and keep the surface braced, and the top opens to reveal several compartments within -- the largest of which contains my mini-laptop, cables, dongles, power bank, and the smaller ones on the sides hold pens, flash drives, etc. The desk even has a built-in handle so it can be carried like a briefcase. Ingenious, I have to say. The only drawback is that the surface is slippery, so if you don't want your laptop - or meal - sliding off, you should use a piece of non-slip material such as is used in kitchen cupboards, and can be stored inside until it's used of course.
