These are nice pants for the price. They have a flattering, loose cut and appear to be well made. They don't have a tag with materials or washing instructions, but they feel like linen or linen blend. I got the olive and a blue stripe and neither was see through. I did find them to run a little on the small side. I'm generally a medium (5'8", 135lbs), so that's what I ordered. They fit, barely, but given that linen shrinks, I decided to return them and order a size up. The waist was a bit narrower than my other similarly styled pants, and the crotch was considerably shorter - that was my main concern with shrinking. I'm hoping that the large doesn't turn out to be enormous. UPDATE: The large turned out to be the same length but about 3 inches wider and only half an inch or so longer in the crotch of the pants. As they were way too big for me, I decided to give the medium another go. I found that they settle lower on my hips than I was trying them on at, and actually seem to fit pretty well. I still haven't washed them, so I don't know how much they're going to shrink, but I think that the medium probably falls into the 8/10 size range for most brands. Expect the front waist band to end up just below your navel, so they're not high waisted. Added bonus, the pockets are enormous. I can fit my phone and my kindle, both in cases, in one front pocket. <3 That alone, in women's pants, is unheard of, and so so awesome. I'll update again after laundering, but if these don't shrink, I'm ordering more pairs in different colors. Photo shows the waistband difference between a medium and a large. The medium was on the small side of what I'd consider a medium, the large was very large! Also, if you've got long legs, don't size up, get the long, since the larger size just got wider, not a longer inseam. UPDATE 2: I washed these in a normal warm cycle and line dried them. There was no obvious shrinkage. These are definitely a win!
