Okay, here is as honest a review as you'll find on here. Simply put... The GOOD: These things look super sexy. Nostalgia levels through the roof. I personally didn't find the teardown and install that difficult. But I consider myself fairly tech savvy. If you've never ever done anything like this before you might want to start with something a little easier. But it's totally doable! I got the "updated version" of the blue molds and I had ZERO issues with the button holes or anything like that that people seemed to be having loads of headache with on the earlier runs. I might have just gotten lucky though. The BAD: The biggest frustration for me came not with anything wrong with this product, but with Nintendo's. Those tri-wing screws to get into the joycons are a nightmare. I have a legit toolkit and am experiencing and I still stripped one. If this seller wanted to go above and beyond and earn a 5th star from me they'd start including replacement screws for the outer shells that are philips head. That would be sooooooooo much better. The only other slight complaint I have is that they are a little glossier then my original blue clear N64. You could spray a matte finish on them if it bothered you that much I suppose. Install isn't that bad if you take it slow and watch lots of videos. Overall I think these are rad and would recommend them to anyone who thinks they're up to the chalange of the teardown and install. Cheers!
