I absolutely love my forever litter tray! I was always the one stuck cleaning the cats litter box and I'm the mom. My tray doesn't last the whole month, it probably would if I had a kitten. However, I have an older male cat. I find myself changing my tray literally once a week. As you can tell, that is very expensive. I just got my forever tray and now the litter and have assembled what little assembling there was. I was stumped at how to place the "flaps", so I took photos that just might help the next person like me. I have added photos to show step by step how I am able to layer my tray with 2 puppy training pads and then placing the tray inside a scented trash bag. You HAVE to use the crystals for this to work properly and it HAS to be these larger size crystals. The poop is raked into the poop compartment I do not touch anything until the day I glove up and lift the hood to slide the bag off. I do this carefully, basically pulling that bag inside out and grab the pads and shove them in the bag. Voila! I NEVER need to rinse out my tray!!!!
