So I have had this camera for only a few days and here are my thoughts. I also can't speak to the longevity of this camera as I decided to return it within a day b/c it doesn't have all the features I need. Overall it delivers on what it promises which is why I gave it 4 stars. Pros: -the range is great (baby's room is on second floor and it works in basement, outside in our back yard and front yard) -the instructions say optimal image is 6 feet away and anything within that the image is great - can clearly see babies features etc... -great price for what it is (compared to other baby monitors) -no distracting light from the camera base -two way sounds works however when i talk through it its not great sound but my son can hear me Cons: -Camera doesn't rotate at all so I have to have the camera more than 6 feet away (its probably about 10 feet) so I can see the entire crib and therefore the features of my sons face are hard to see (can't tell if his eyes are open or closed) -you can't stay in the zoomed in mode and adjust anything like volume and color contrast -notification is only for sound NOT motion detection which is a problem for me as my son often wakes up in the morning and will calmly sit there in his crib -the sensitivity for ECO mode (when the camera shuts its screen off) doesn't work well. If you have it on high its constantly going off when there is no change in sound or anything in his room (we have a white noise machine so I can only think this is what is setting it off) so that can be disruptive to your a light sleeper; but if i set it to medium it doesn't capture the sounds of him when he does move / sit up in his crib; i feel like there needs to be a mode in between them -when screen is in "sleep mode" i sometimes have to press the button a few times for it to "wake up" to see my son What I wish it had: -you can't adjust the length of time the screen turns on when it hears a sound - its only 30 seconds; I wish I could change the timing of this to be longer -wish it allowed you to pan the room when not in zoom mode so that I can have it closer to the crib and see my son better -wish it alerted you with movement as well as sound
