So far I'm impressed with this slicer. It is heavy duty, quiet, and the blade is razor sharp. I've just received the slicer today, so I'll update my review after more use. So far it made quick work of slicing a block of pepper jack cheese. Update after longterm use.....This slicer has performed flawlessly and continues to stay razor sharp! It can achieve incredibly thin slices suitable for prosciutto. Great product for a great price.
