Set up take about an hour, without any tools
I read over a lot of the reviews for this product and a fair majority of these reviews were given a discount for review, but I am not one of those customers. I am only 5'4" and I will say this item is tall and I only had a little trouble with the top, but I found the directions fairly straightforward. I had no trouble with assembly and use. However, what I am going to say is going to sound obvious to some and not so obvious to those who are not mechanically inclined. First, sort out all items and account for all of the pieces, separating by size. Pay attention to the diagram. You are going to have shorter rods and rods that are a little bit longer, and it will make a difference with assembly. The longer rods are for vertical use and the shorter rods are meant for horizontal use. So, when you are using the rods for the material, ensure you use the right sized rods. There are rods that will run parallel to the rods to your shelves and they will increase the tension. I assembled this unit in a little under an hour by myself. Attache are pictures that show my progress along the way. I also included pictures of the instructions so you can see what is involved with the set up. The cover is very durable and you thread through the first layer, so those holes on the bottom are there for a reason. Just a note, there were some complaints about this not being very sturdy, I found that a little common sense needs to come into play, Heavier items on the bottom, lighter items on the top and I have no worries about this toppling over. I am completely satisfied with this purchase as I have limited closet space and I would recommend this for value per dollar. The material is like a tarp, but feels cloth-like. The shorter bars actually give this unit added stability. For me, this works and you could easily use this in a nursery, a shed for garden supplies, storage for seasonal clothing or even in a dorm room.
