Although everyones eyebrows tend to thin as we age, fashion trends during early 90s with the eyebrows were quite traumatic. If you were anything like me back then, you probably waxed & tweezed your eyebrows so thin that they looked like ants standing in a line (because you probably believed that they made you look cool, just like Gwen Stefani when No Doubt debuted) and because of that, those poor poor eyebrows never really grew back as full as they once were. In addition to a scar on my left brow &(along with my pale complexion) it was very easy to compare me to a cross between a Peanut Cartoon Character & the main guy from the movie “Powder”. So for the past 20years I have penciled, gel’d & powdered my eyebrows in. Yes, I have tried salon eyebrow dye. Microblade & tattooing isn’t really my thing. So, I ordered the “Golden Blonde”. Since we are on state shut down bc of covid19, if my eyebrows ended up looking like Oscar The Grouch , it didn’t matter because no one will see me. The packaging was damaged & shipped in an overly large envelope, but everything was in the kit. I highly suggest before applying, lay everything out on tinfoil or plastic wrap as this stuff will STAIN ON CONTACT. The kit didn’t have an application brush so I used my eyebrow angle brush for the application. Mixing the product you will want to stir & crush the power with the spoon to really get a nice creamy consistency. After mixing let it sit for a moment while you exfoliate your eyebrows. I used Aveda exfoliate liquid but I’m sure rubbing alcohol or witch hazel on a cotton swab would work. (Really anything that is gentle on your skin & will remove oil) Then I used my eyebrow pencil to trace the shape I wanted for my eyebrows. I applied it pretty heavy. As it was setting I used the extra to give myself freckles. I didn’t let that sit on for no more than 5 mins. As it shows a little (see pic) I doubt the freckles will last no more than a day. The directions say to first wipe your brows before washing your face. I used a paper towel soaked in warm water. **Here is were you’re happy you crushed the powder when mixing bc the little seeds can be a bit rough on your skin when rubbing it off** then I washed with my usual face wash & treated my face to a nice almond & avocado oil soak (why face is shiny in picture) you will also notice that after I washed my face, the freckles had faded more. The whole process was easy. I like how my thin areas are filled in. I can not report how long this will last. Because I am a face mask junky I predict my eyebrows last a week or two. Any longer & I will update this review. 4 stars bc the packaging was damaged & wasteful.
