Well I like to try out RC cars before I let my daughter loose on them to see if they're good or they're going to break. I threw everything I could at this and it's one tough RC truck! Don't be put off by it's 1/18 scale, this thing didn't slow in the slightest as it transitioned from blacktop to grass, and it monstered over the grass with no noticable drop in speed. It's lightweight yet doesn't constantly get kicked off line by bumps, which indicates good suspension. I tried it on a few jumps off our bmx kicker ramp and it was going 4ft high without any problem and absorbing the landings easily. It comes with a full list of spare parts which is good if you do break anything you can replace it. That said whilst it was lightweight the plastic felt tough not cheap if you know what I mean. The lighweight saw us have a run time of some 15mins and I was pushing it hard along the way. The battery charger is USB and charged the pack back up in under 2 hrs which was quite impressive. It handles very, very well and won't constantly be turning over, which is good for beginners. Also the tires have good grip on blacktop, grass and packed dirt, this is good as the cheaper smaller buggies sometimes get let down by their tires. It's RTR so all you need is transmitter batteries. Good value for the money, and quick enough to keep my daughter entertained, yet not so fast as to get you in trouble.
