well i kept reading about the fabulous effects of topical vit C+E Fe acid. i wouldn't have spent the $100s of the popular name brand so i found this less expensive yet similar product and tried it. I didn't know what to expect since I've never tried the expensive ones before. And honestly couldn't understand why this one could be so much cheaper and still be effectively comparable to the others. So i was doubtful. My experience was surprisingly positive. It came in a nice sized dark blue glass bottle. The liquid was clear, and orderless and seemed fresh to me. One major problem i had though, it didn't have any instructions or even suggestions on it's purpose. Now i understand the the items specifics on this website has brief directions and a description, but i was forced to come back to this web page once it received the bottle to remind me what to do with it. I'm suffering from melasma on my upper lip and it looks like a mustache!! It's the worst problem I've ever had with my skin and it's been bothering me for about 2 years. I've used retin A and hydroquinone (prescription), it only helps if used constantly and faithfully. But i live in Florida and mixing sun and those two are a huge problem. So i looked for something that would help hasten the results and hopefully help protect my face from more damage. Apparently this product does well to protect you from the sun's UVA and UVB and helps other products to work better by letting them sink in more effectively. From what i could gather from sources online, this is what i did: (1st) i washed my face. (2nd) wiped it down with witch hazel & let it dry. (3rd) then pulled a few drops of this 20% Vit C+E Ferulic serum and poured it on my face (it's runny, kinda like slippery water) and gently rubbed it in and let it dry. Then i either used the other products at night or applied sunscreen and makeup for day. It seemed to make my face nice and moisturized and firm. It's not oily or sticky and really nice under make up. I couldn't tell if it helped the other stuff to penetrate better but i thought it helped with the tone and texture while using the other products. The others can be irritating, causing redness and peeling. But this product definitely halted any of those symptoms. With all that said, i think it's a pretty useful product and I'll be buying it again and others this company offers. PS. I waited to write this review until i was finished with the entire bottle. It shipped fast and It lasted over 2 months with pretty much daily use.
