so I took out the bottom three screws and there was a round thing with what looked like a tiny button/post sticking up
I've had this kettle for 4 years now, and all is well. I've seen no staining or rust, and I use regular tap water in it. I was inclined to write this review to say that my kettle stopped working and I noticed the switch, while it was sitting not being used, was in the on position. I wondered if there was a fuse, so I took out the bottom three screws and there was a round thing with what looked like a tiny button/post sticking up. I pressed it and it clicked down. Then the kettle worked. So it seems like this must be a fuse of some sort. Thought people should know.
