Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

First, to be clear, I purchased this for $3.99 and this review is based on that price. This is a fun game, nice story, challenging without being frustratingly difficult. Great graphics, very well done, all in all. That being said it is NOT worth $6.99. I purchased another app from this developer for the full $6.99 price, which I enjoyed for the short time it takes to complete, but felt it was vastly overpriced. Within a few days it was reduced to $2.99 for a short time, a price that was a more genuine reflection of the the real value of the product. This seems to be a tactic this developer commonly practices, perhaps to gain 5 star reviews at the lower price, then raising the price again in hopes that new customers will be fooled into believing the app earned the high reviews at the inflated price. Fire Maple Games, Big Fish Games and Alawar are just a few of the premium developers that produce games comparable in quality to MumboJumbo but have a much more realistic view of their value and what customers are willing to pay. Twisted Lands Shadow Town and Lost City are two of the best apps out there and are only 99 cents (they each debuted at very reasonable $1.99, I believe) each have sold numerous copies as opposed to the lagging MumboJumbo sales. While I have enjoyed the two Midnight Mysteries games that I have purchased and believe they are very well done, I am less than pleased with MumboJumbo. I am looking forward to the Houdini game, but only when it too, is reduced.
