I have installed these before and when I saw it on Amazon at this price I jumped on it, considering the last one I bought was from the local pool store for over $800. Hayward / Goldline makes great products and I trust them. The other unit I have is going on 3+ years. Installation is "very easy" for the DIYer as long as you are handy with measuring and cutting PVC, using PVC cement and electrical. I left mine configured for 220v the default. Make sure, make sure, make sure - you know what the voltage is coming to your pump. My other house was 115v, this one was 220v, so you need to to configure the device to accept the proper voltage. Also, every 3 months - you need to disassemble the salt cell and run a mixture of muriatic acid and water through it - there is a special stand the cell screws on to - Hayward GLX-CELLSTAND - or a knock off will work - they range from $12 to $30.
