I love my Fisher space pen for many reasons. One, it writes ALWAYS. On painted metals, wood, cold/frozen objects, smooth and textured plastics, upside down... anywhere. Two, it is made in the United States of America, so by purchasing you help employ a distant cousin. Three, it is made of SOLID raw brass that will develop a nice patina. I don't care what else you read on here about it being "plated" brass. I actually shaved a portion of the inner pen away to see if it was solid. It. Was. Go America. Four, I accidentally put this pen through the laundry and it still works after some minor maintenance. Take that Communism. This pen will live longer than you and look better when it finally dies. And best of all, it carries my stamp of approval. -Spencer
