Ahh - relief at last!
For two months I had suffered from pain in my left heel. I tried stretching, regular doses of ibuprofen, and changing shoes. Nothing worked, and I was constantly limping like an 80-year-old man. Finally I went to see my doctor. One x-ray later, he told me that I had a heel spur / plantar fasciitis.
On his recommendation, I bought this product. Now, a week later and I can finally walk normally. I am not completely pain free (yet), but I'm about 90% better than I was, and I can once again walk or jog to my heart's content without resorting to daily doses of painkillers. These orthotics fit snugly on the bottom of my shoes and do not slip. In fact, I have already bought two extra pairs to go in my other shoes.
For the price, these orthotics are absolutely amazing. My only worry is that Dr. Scholl's might someday stop making them!

Just a follow-up to my original review: I've now been using these orthotics for about 9 months. I still occasionally have a small twinge in my left heel, but I am completely free of pain 99.5% of the time. I can walk, work, and exercise normally. I have a set in every pair of shoes I own, and buy new ones as I replace my shoes. I highly recommend Dr. Scholl's orthotics.

Yet another follow-up: 14 months after starting to use these orthotics, my heel spur is a distant fading memory. It has been months since I felt any pain from it. I continue to use these orthotics in every pair of shoes I wear. You simply cannot put a price on the ability to walk and jog without pain.
