What is going on Redbook? Still great product but why the minor changes?
I have used Redbook note pads for many years. They are excellent; almost perfect. This I know: the quality of the paper is beyond anything I have use. I have a minor habit of buying one of almost every type and brand of paper that I can; yes this is an addiction. Cold press, hot press, full 100% cotton (looking at you Southworth), blends of cotton, computer paper, et cetera you get the idea. I love paper and I love pens. I don't have anything important to write. I just write. After years of this the various note books on my shelfs look nasty (anyone OCD). Then I discovered Redbooks. Hardback (my choice) looks so amazing when displayed. The thing I really like is that there has never been a change to the design. I love that. Oh, the paper is amazing! So smooth, doesn't bleed through, and is acid free. My issue with this particular model is....they changed the inside. Instead of a calender, index, conversion charts (Imperial standards are UNACCEPTABLE; praise be to METRIC), and subway maps of cities I will never be able to afford to go to they...they...they made it contain inspirational quotes. If I am buying a Redbook I do not need inspirational quotes! Did I mention I hate change? Please Redbook, stay true to your nature. I pay for a unique product, the only thing that I can afford to be a BRAND. A brand that provides jobs in Poland, that has grown with me, that I have learned to love. With so many things changing in our lives please be my anchor Redbook.
