A6 vs. A5.2
I'm 88 years old, don't wear glasses, and don't text, but I wanted a smart phone just for pleasure. I've had two BLU phones. I will compare and contrast them, in the event you are shopping.
I had an Advance 5.2 for some weeks. It has an all-metal case that will not open. You need to put a tiny tool in a tiny hole in one side, and out will come a tiny tray that will hold only a small SD card, and a nano sim. That's it. The size is great, and it seems well-made. I was wanting something larger, so reading text would be easier, and I don't plan on using it as a phone that much, so I was looking at the Advance A6. I received it yesterday, and I am delighted. What's great is that the entire back comes off, and you can access two sim slots and an SD slot with the battery out or left in. My hands are large, so the size isn't an issue, but it might be awkward for petite ladies. I also had a Blackberry Leap, which wouldn't even look at sims I tried, so back it went. The A6 greedily accesses sims and memory cards with glee. If there is any down-side, it could be battery endurance, but I will not make a judgment on that until my experiments are concluded. You are advised to do a few cycles of full to empty, and I'm awaiting hitting empty for the first time. It doesn't seem to suck out much power on idle, so I guess I'll have to task it a bit to drain the sucker out. At this point, I couldn't be a happier camper. I sincerely hope this helps you.
