Only one con, but I have a work around
I'm using these in my snowboard helmet. Pros: - They are loud.. almost too loud. Which is great because you can just turn down the volume on your phone. I can rip down a trail and listen to music just fine. - Easy to charge, just a regular micro usb - The sound quality is surprisingly good - Easy to tuck into your ear pads, the cord is just the right size - When you turn them on, you get a nice, "Turning on, welcome to .. something". Much nicer than just a beep where you may think, "What did I just turn them on or off?" - And when you turn them off, another corny message "Turning off, see you soon" or something like that Cons: - It's hard to use the on off button through your ear pads. The 3 buttons are pretty close so you end up hitting skip when you try to pause a song or vice versa. For a solution I simply super glued a little Lego dot onto the pause button (which is also the on/off for long presses). This works great. The picture is what I did. Battery life seems fine so far, I've yet to really put that to the test. I'm very happy with my purchase vs any of the $120 bluetooth ones I have seen. --update 1 year later It's great. Battery life is fine for riding all day. Never had a single problem with this thing (after I glued the lego onto it). If you get a call or text while using it'll pause your music (although I suppose the phone is doing that) and works as expected. If you click it once while a call is coming in, it answers it and works surprisingly well! My phone is in my jacket and when I hear my ringtone in my helmet I click it on, and I just can talk and ride. Sweetness. --update 2 years later Still rocking. I've yet to have my battery die before my phone does. I charge it every other time I go. I've tried a few other brands out, this one is the best. Bought another one for my wife :) --update 3 years Yup, still the best option out there! --update 4 years Still rocking strong. I'm a few hundred days of riding with them at this point. Never a failure or problem. All kinds of conditions. Got a few friends using them and as long as you do the lego trick you are good to go, best around.
