I just wanted a coverlet to protect my bed from the German Shepherd who likes to lay on it and look out the window. I had a hard time finding anything that wasn't microfiber (which pills) and found this one. It's a faux matelasse (design is kind of stamped-on versus sewn), but for my purposes, this coverlet is attractive, soft and well-priced. We'll see how well it holds up to the dog, but so far, so good.
