I’m very happy with this yarn but I also knew exactly what I was looking for with my project. There are complaints about this Yarn being listed as a weight 4. It’s true that the thickness of this particular yarn (much like many other mercerised cotton yarns) is not what you would might think of as a worsted weight but it might be helpful to familiarize yourself with the differences between your typical cotton yarn and mercerized cotton yarn/thread. If you don’t know what you are looking for, purchasing anything for the first time is pretty much a trial and error of your own accord in my opinion. This is a beautiful yarn for me. I want it in all collors :) I have used it for hats as well.. but again, that also depends on knowing what look and feel you are going for. This yarn is not a warm and squishy. Instead, it is light and sturdy. It gives my projects that draping effect I’m looking for. Amigurumi might be nice though I honestly have not tried that with this yarn yet. As for the cuts and ties in the middle of the skein, no one likes that and I have yet to experience it.. so I’ll knock on wood for now but it wouldn’t be the end of the world for me. I have added some photos showing accurate weight and threads pulled apart into 4 sections.. hence the 4 ply or weight 4 listed in the discription.
